Learn how to add live content on Maestro.
Before we get started, please note that these instructions are specifically for live content that is NOT being streamed directly to Maestro.
To add live content from outside of Maestro to your Live Channels, please follow the steps below.
From the live channel where you'd like the live content to play, click the "EDIT CHANNEL" button on the admin tool bar at the bottom of the window.
Scheduled Content:
The scheduled video will play at the scheduled time for the duration set of the video. This content will appear to viewers as Live Content. When the duration is up, the channel will default back to the Offline state.
With that said, you can follow these steps to create scheduled content:
Click the "gear" icon in the video block area.
- Click "Schedule Video" under "Scheduled This Week"
- Select the live video you'd like to use using the check mark symbol from your Library.
- Set the Start Day, Time, and Time Zone.
- Select if you’d like your video to repeat and how frequently (i.e.,Weekly, Daily)
- Click "Schedule Video". The schedule modal will close, exposing the video block settings modal now showing the chosen video and scheduled time.
- Click "Publish" on the admin bar in the bottom of your screen.
Add Live Video to Offline Video Mode:
Adding a video in TV mode will keep that video active when it is both live and offline. When the video goes live from the source, it will appear on Maestro, and when it goes offline, the offline slate added to the video will appear as well.
Follow these steps to add live video to TV mode:
- From your admin bar on the bottom of the screen, click "EDIT CHANNEL".
- Click the "gear" icon in the video block area.
- Scroll down on the video settings modal. At the bottom, click the button that reads
to set your channel into offline video mode.
- Click "+Add Video".
Note: If you already have a video added you’ll click "Change Video," and similarly, if you already have a playlist selected, you’ll click "Change Playlist"
- Select video from "Library" using the check mark symbol.
- Click "Publish" on your admin bar to push changes live.
