How to Create a Ticket or Subscription

Learn how to create a ticket to monetize your content on Maestro.

Two of the top video monetization methods on Maestro are ticketing and subscriptions. You can add ticketing or subscriptions to any page or live channel on your Maestro site by customizing your Paywall.

In the admin tool bar at the bottom of the window, click "Paywall" to get started.

How to Create a Subscription

  1. Click "Edit Paywall" in the admin toolbar on the bottom of the screen to open the editor. 

  2. Click "Set Up Access". 

  3. Since we're setting up a Subscription, click "Ticket, Bundle, or Subscription" on the Access Control modal and then click "Next" to continue with Subscription creation.

  4. You'll then see the modal display what Ticket, Subscription or Bundle is already attached. Click "Add Ticket, Bundle or Subscription" to create your Subscription.

  5. Click the + Create button on the next screen.
  6. Select "Subscription". 

  7. Give the subscription a name and a description. 

  8. A SKU is automatically generated based on the name.
  9. Then, choose the billing cycle: Monthly or Annual. 
  10. Add a price. You may optionally add unique pricing for individually currencies. Users will see the price for their region’s ISO standard currency according their IP address. If there is no price for their currency, users will see the price option you set as default.
  1. When you're finished, click "Save". The Tickets and Subscriptions modal will then appear.

How to Create a Ticket

  1. Follow steps 1 through 4 above. 
  2. Click the "+ Create: button, then "Ticket".
  3. Enter a Name, Description, and confirm the SKU. 
  4. Then, choose the event date, which is the date of your event.

Note: if your event is multi-day or you intend to sell the same SKU for on-demand access, enter the last day of the event / on-demand period.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Ticket sale payouts attached to this ticket are impacted and triggered by this date. Any money exchanged for this SKU after the date entered will not be automatically transferred as expected. Please ensure that you select the correct date. Once your tickets and subscriptions are created, they will appear in the Tickets, Bundles, and Subscriptions Modal for use on your site.
